The monster gardens of the Everglades, a natural park in Florida, will be featured as part of the new movie “Monster Gardens,” a collaboration between Disney and Warner Bros. that will star Jennifer Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis and Michael Cera.
Lawrence will play the title character, a scientist who develops and controls the creatures in the park.
Ben Stiller and Lionsgate’s Peter Berg will produce, and Lawrence, Sudeika and Cera will star.
It will be produced by the studio and Warner Brothers, with production financed by The Weinstein Company.
The movie will be released in the fall.
The studio is still negotiating with the actors.
Lawrence, who has starred in “The Princess Diaries,” is nominated for an Oscar for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II in “In the Heights.”
She is also nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actress for “Lincoln.”
She and Sudeiko have also been nominated for best director for their performances in “Monster Garden.”
The park, known as Everglade, was opened in 2002 and has grown from a small nature preserve into a world of parks, attractions and a museum.
“Monster Gardens” is part of a new slate of movies planned by Warner Bros., which is developing a slate of franchises for its movie studio, including “Jurassic World,” which will hit theaters in 2019.
“Everglades” is a major attraction at the park, with attractions like “Monster Park” and “Monster Kingdom” as well as more than 30,000 acres of wildlife and natural spaces.
