Everglades is known for its incredible variety of tropical and desert gardens, but some of the most well-known gardens in the state are also among the most popular.
There are so many things you can do in the Everglade National Park that even the most novice gardener can learn something new.
Here’s a list of places to check out.
A.B. Lattis Garden at the Evergreens – Located on the edge of a vast marshland, this green space has a long history dating back to the 1800s.
The Garden at Evergens original site was a popular spot for tourists and locals to gather.
It’s still one of the best spots to see butterflies, bees, and other exotic animals, and is also one of only two parks in Florida that offer live bird viewing.
A.B.-Lattis has several outdoor seating areas for visitors to enjoy, and it has outdoor gardens and trails that offer great views of the surrounding marshland.
The site has a unique feel.
A: B. Landscape at the Piedmont at Everglaciers – Located in the Piers of the Florida Straits, this area of Everglach Springs offers plenty of options for outdoor dining, picnics, and picnicking.
A few of the places you can visit are the St. James Golf Course, The Dolly and Pussy Farm, and The Old Golf Course.
B: P. Landscapes at the Cascades at the Preserve – Located near the mouth of the Canyons of the Ancients, this is the largest landscaped area in the world, covering an area of 4,000 acres.
The Preserve offers a variety of wildlife viewing and camping options for families.
A.: B. P. at the Lighthouse – Located just a short drive from downtown Orlando, this beachfront spot has been designated as a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
It has a beach, an amphitheater, and an ocean view.
You can also take in the spectacular ocean views and the sunsets.
C: B&Q Pipes & Cigars – Located about three miles south of the airport, this location is known as the place to grab a quick bite to eat.
This restaurant has a variety on offer, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and chicken wings.
You’ll also find an amazing array of craft beers.
A favorite spot for picnicing and relaxing is the Ledge at Ever Glades National Park.
There’s a picnic area, bar, and deck that overlooks the park.
It also has a boat ramp that can be used for picns and kayaks.
You might also find yourself relaxing in one of these private island cabins.
A good option for a night out in the park is the South Point at the Dolly & Pussy Farms.
Located just off of the highway, this farm offers several dining options.
A small park with picnic tables and tables for picnic baskets can be found at this location.
This location is also home to the only private golf course in Everglaces.
B&Q-Dolly and the Pussy-Cabins at the St James Golf course – The St James golf course is located just off Interstate 95, just south of downtown Orlando.
It features 18 holes of golf, as well as the popular B&q Cabins.
The St. Marys clubhouse is located next to the golf course, and there are several options for boating and camping in the St Marys’ private clubhouse.
A picnic area with restrooms and a bar is located at the nearby hotel.
